What is the Student Organization Resource Center (SORC)?
The SORC is an area dedicated to student organization leaders and members for handling the day-to-day operations of your group.  The SORC is designed to give you access to computers, printing, scanning, copying, faxing, and art supplies.  The art supplies are provided to help you advertise upcoming programs/events, recruit members, or educate fellow students.  A microwave and refrigerator are also available to prepare and store food items and drinks up to 24 hours for your events or meetings.  

Where is the SORC located?
The SORC is located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union in the Student Government and Organizations Complex (SGOC) room 212C.

Who can use the SORC?
The SORC is available only to members of a registered UNC Charlotte student organization.  We ask that you sign in and out when using the SORC.

What are the hours of the SORC?
The SORC hours are the same as the Student Union http://studentunion.uncc.edu/.  The SORC is  staffed Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the spring and fall and Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer.

What costs are associated with using the supplies/resources?
The art supplies are free; however, we ask that you do not take items/supplies out of the SORC, so that they are available to everyone at all times.  You will have access to a printer/fax/scanner.  In order to utilitze this resource, you will need to swipe your 49er card.  Printing is only free if your organization has received an Operational grant.  Please go to http://studentorgs.uncc.edu/funding-and-grants for additional information on funding.
