Student Organization Resource Center (SORC)


What is the Student Organization Resource Center? 

The Student Organization Resource Center (SORC) is an area dedicated to student organization leaders for handling the day-to-day operations of your group. The resource center is designed to give you access to computers, a telephone, printing/photocopying, and other necessary tools for continued success.

In addition, the SORC provides reference materials and art supplies so that you can get your student organization up and running. Use the items to advertise upcoming programs, recruit members, or educate fellow students. Many of the necessary forms you will need to function are also located in this area, along with a microwave and refrigerator to enable you to feel more comfortable.

Where is the Student Organization Resource Center Located? 

The SORC is located in the Cone University Center, Student Association Complex, room 369 C.

What are the Hours of the Student Organization Resource Center? 

The SORC has staff available weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is accessible to all student organizations until 11:00 p.m. every weekday night. In addition, the SORC is open during Cone University Center building hours on the weekends.

Who Can Utilize the Student Organization Resource Center? 

The SORC is available to all members of registered student organizations at UNC Charlotte.  We ask that you sign in and out of the SORC denoting what student organization you are a member of each time you use the space!

What Costs are Associated with Using the Supplies/Resources?

The resources are free; however, we ask that students not take items/supplies out of the SORC so that they are available to everyone at all times!
