Are you thinking about sending out a mass e-mail to the campus community about one of your student organization programs?
Don't do it. Read the following policy [UNC Charlotte Electronic Mail Policy (Policy #20)], so you are aware of University procedures. If you are looking to advertise your event, the Assistant Director of Student Activities for Student Organizations has a lot of other ways for you to contact faculty, staff, and students. In fact, you can post your event on the University website and television station by visiting Campus Events.

Do you need to reserve a room or technical equipment for a student organization event or meeting?
Visit with one of the friendly staff members from the Conference, Reservations, and Event Services Office or Technical Services. They will help you find a room or equipment that will fit your programmatic needs.

Are you about to plan a program and want to serve food to your student organization?
If so, read the following policy [UNC Charlotte Food Service Policy (Policy #71)], so you are aware of University procedures. Chartwells is the University catering service for all of your campus events. One of the friendly staff members from Chartwells will be able to assist you with the planning and presentation of your food and beverage needs.

Are you wondering where to hang posters and flyers to advertise a student organization event?
If so, read the following policy [UNC Charlotte Solicitations, Distribution of Materials, and Campus Displays Policy (Policy #40)], so you are aware of University procedures. Almost every building on campus has a general posting board for you to advertise events. The Cone University Center has many areas for you to post such flyers, but remember to get it stamped by the Information Desk before you post it. You can also put flyers in student organization mailboxes.

Do you need some guidance in writing your student organization's constitution?
Take a look at the following template as a sample when working on writing your student organization's constitution.  This will help ensure that you include all the necessary components for approval.
